Ein geländegängiger Pkw steht zur Koordinierung der Projekte auf den Inseln dient und als „Community Car“ für Krankentransporte etc. zur Verfügung.

Es haben sich diverse geografische, geologische und kulturell-strukturelle Probleme ergeben, die gelöst werden müssen, bevor dieses Projekt weiter verfolgt werden kann. Da dies in absehbarer Zeit als unrealistisch eingeschätzt werden muss, wird das Projekt eingestellt.

Projekt 17 (neu): Community Health Center in Vaisala (Savaii), Samoa
In Vaisala und den umliegenden Dörfern gibt es keine ärztliche Versorgung und keine Apotheke. Wer ärztliche Hilfe oder Medikamente benötigt, muss einige Stunden Busfahrt auf sich nehmen. Dies ist für viele Betroffene unerschwinglich oder physisch unmöglich. Wir planen daher, im Dorf Vaisala ein ca. 70 qm großes massives Gebäude zu errichten, das sowohl zur ärztlichen Versorgung als auch für eine Apotheke dient. Da es in Vaisala ausschließlich unveräußerliches Land gibt (customery land), wird ein ca. 500 qm großes Grundstück auf 99 Jahre gepachtet. Die Pacht ist kostenfrei. Dafür wird dem Verpächter das Recht eingeräumt, im Gebäude ein kleines Café zu betreiben.
Zurzeit laufen die Absprachen mit den politisch Verantwortlichen und örtlichen Vertretern.

Community Health Center in Vaisala (Savaii), Samoa. In Vaisala and the surrounding villages there is no medical care and no pharmacy. Those who need medical help or medication have to take a bus ride of several hours. This is unaffordable or physically impossible for many of those affected. We are therefore planning to construct a massive building of about 70 square metres in the village of Vaisala, which will serve both for medical care and for a pharmacy. As there is only inalienable land in Vaisala (customery land), an approx. 500 sqm plot will be leased for 99 years. The lease is free of charge. In return, the lessor is granted the right to run a small café in the building. Arrangements are currently being made with the political leaders and local representatives. Estimated project costs: € 175,000 / 550,000 WST.
